Ovenable Trays

Ovenable Trays provide your customers with a convenient and effective way to heat their meals. Many of our products feature dual ovenable versatility, meaning that they can withstand high heat and are bakeable in either an oven or microwave. Like microwaveable food packaging, having expertise in ovenable trays themselves is only half the equation. In many cases the container is only as good as the snap-on lid or lidding film covering it. Choosing the right lidding film for ovenable trays is often just as important as the containers themselves.
Crystallized polyethylene terephthalate, or CPET, is a plastic that can hold up to the high heat of an oven or microwave (dual ovenable) and is commonly used in ovenable trays. It can be paired with snap-on lids or lidding film. CPET is recyclable.
Available in a variety of sizes and colors/patterns, paperboard trays are dual ovenable. Similar to CPET containers, they can also be paired with snap on lids or lidding film. Paperboard is recyclable.
As the name suggests, compostable fiber can be industrially composted. This eco-friendly food packaging option for ovenable trays comes in a variety of sizes, depths, and compartment layouts.
Lamination can be added to compostable fiber ovenable trays to act as a moisture barrier. Available laminating materials include PLA (clear, compostable) or CPET (clear or black, recyclable). These ovenable trays can be used with lidding or overwrap films.
Smoothwall aluminum foil trays are available in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be paired with non-laquered (non-coated) and lacquered (coated) options. Lacquer allows these trays to be microwaved. Nextera offers a very rare peelable lidding film for the non-lacquered smoothwall ovenable aluminum foil trays that can be either laser or hot needle perforated, as well as printed. These trays come in silver/silver, black/silver, or black/gold varieties.
Pizza and platter ready! While made of paper, these corrugated trays can be safely put in the oven. Tan in color and available in multiple sizes, these thermoformed trays are eco-friendly and can be paired with recyclable PETE snap-on lids.
